Our society is broken, and it will take strong creative minds to fix it.

The left is bent on fundamentally changing the principles America was founded on. America is the greatest country in the history of the world, and we should be proud of that. The guiding ideals of faith, family, and freedom are fundamental to our way of life and should be celebrated. The left seeks to demonize and divide our nation for the purpose of power. I cannot sit on the sidelines and watch as our country is destroyed.

I’m not a politician. I don’t want to go to Columbus to be part of the problem. I want to be a representative of Ohioans and to make our state an even better place to live and raise a family.

My experience is in the real world- dropping out of high school, working in heavy labor jobs, becoming a disabled American, raising my family, pursuing a college education, and helping my community. I believe Columbus needs down-to-earth representatives that have the same or similar life experiences as the people they represent.

Our criminal justice system is broken. It is an insult to the idea that an individual is innocent until proven guilty. I have been on both sides of the table. I have served as both the defendant and the attorney. The devastation of being falsely accused and having to clear my name and reputation is a reality that many Ohioans share. I want to bring fairness back into the courtroom and provide an opportunity for those falsely accused of a crime to prove their innocence before trial. This would allow our state to concentrate on the real criminal offenders in our society and allow our law enforcement a chance to end this spike in violent crimes.

I’m 100% pro-life and believe that any intentional act that ends a pregnancy is murder.

Once in Columbus, I will work tirelessly to protect the lives of unborn children. I will vote to defund any abortion provider who receives state tax dollars and permanently end late-term abortions in Ohio.

I was born after my mother had her tubes tied in 1980. I was her miracle baby that was conceived four years after she had the procedure. I thank God every day for the opportunity to be here and make a change. Imagine how many individuals like you and I were murdered in the womb.

We need to end abortion in America, but we must all come to the understanding that we are here only through the grace of God. Let’s continue to be a state that will fight for the rights of the unborn.

Our founding fathers, in their infinite wisdom, drafted, debated, and enacted the Second Amendment to protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms. Unlike our modern society, they experience the oppression of a tyrannical government. They took up arms against the most powerful superpower of their time and won our freedom from tyranny.

Our Second Amendment is the most important right in the Bill of Rights. It is the sword that was established to protect our remaining rights and serve as a deterrent to those wishing to take those rights away.

Our healthcare system is broken. Healthcare reform starts with recognizing that the focus should be on healthcare, not health insurance.

Healthcare providers should compete to provide you with healthcare services just like any other industry. Patients should demand full transparency in healthcare billing, and healthcare providers should list the true price for every service and procedure upfront, this allows consumers to make a choice on where their money is best spent.

It is not the role of the government to dictate healthcare. Just like it is not the role of the government to dictate our lives. We have freedom of choice and that should not end at the door to the hospital.

The government cannot legislate jobs into existence in a meaningful way. The role of the government is to get out of the way of businesses and allow them to thrive and compete. The market will always have its ups and downs. Creativity, ingenuity, great management, and a great workforce is the keys to building a great job market.

When businesses are freed from high taxes and burdensome regulation and red tape, they will innovate, expand, and grow. More jobs mean higher wages for every worker – when businesses compete for workers, they have to increase pay and improve benefits. The government should be a helping hand by providing opportunities for the Ohio workforce to obtain marketable skills that will allow them to demand higher wages because they provide skilled labor.

Our constitution protects the right of the parent to decide how their child is raised. It is not the role of the government to dictate how we raise or educate our children. But parents can only do so much. Once our children reach school age a new world opens up to them. The government has stepped in and used this as an opportunity to indoctrinate our children. This has to stop. Parents should have the right to inspect their child’s school curriculum. They should have a voice when decisions are made about their children, and they should have a choice as to whether or not they want their child to learn certain subjects. One way to enforce a parent’s right to raise their child is to provide greater opportunity for parents to choose the appropriate school for their children. They should not be left without options just because they live in a particular neighborhood.

That is why I am a supporter of school choice. I believe parents should be allowed to choose to send their kids to public schools, charter schools, academies, and even private schools without having to pay out of pocket. Parents already pay income tax, sales tax, property tax, and many more taxes. In exchange for those taxes, our government is supposed to provide opportunities for our children to become educated not indoctrinated. Therefore, I support legislation that will allow those same tax dollars that are allocated for our children to go to a public school to flow to any school the child attends. This will cause the public school system to compete for students just like other charter and private schools.

In addition, if parents believe that homeschool is the best option for their children then there should be programs in place to allow parents to create home school co-ops that meet certain guidelines and the public tax money that would have gone to the public school should go to the co-op.
